New photographs of AC Milan’s home, away and third jerseys for the 2010-11 season have been leaked on the Internet.

Designed and manufactured by Adidas, the new shirts are expertly designed and feature the bold colors of AC Milan that we know and love.

For the home jersey, the red and black stripes return. In the above photograph, the long-sleeved shirt is pictured and it shows the unique sleeve design as well as the updated color. The shirt looks very modern while maintaining the traditional look-and-feel of the classic AC Milan jersey.

The new design looks like it’s from the same template that Adidas used for the new Argentina and Bayern Munich shirt designs — especially in the adoption of wider stripes on the front instead of more thinner stripes.

Adidas hit another high with the 2008-2009 presentation suit series, receiving a Serie A Talk 9.0 product rating!!!

The Pros

I’ve had this suit for the last 2 months (courtesy of soccerpro.com) wearing it everywhere outside and inside the house. During my indoor training routine the suit’s lightweight construction and formotion cut wasn’t constrictive or caused me to overly perspire. 

 I was clearing snow from my driveway last several days, and surprisingly in -10 celsius weather the mesh lined pants/trousers stood up keeping me warm .  The pre-suit is a very easy and enjoyable fit never mind an attention getter with those wanting your opinion on AC Milan.

Lets look at presentation suit details,

• 100% polyester plain weave, ForMotion system,
• mesh lined jacket and mesh lined pants. The jacket has a funnel neck, contrasting panels, 3 stripe branding
• frontal zip, pockets on sides, straight top and trousers bottom, 
  bottom leg zips; Drawcord on elastic waistband,
• Adidas brandmark on left thigh;  embroidered Adidas logos
  embroidered AC Milan Club Crest on left chest and on right thigh, officially club licensed product
• embroidered Rossoneri knick on the back collar (very nice, has that Ferrari feeling)

The Cons

This review would have been a 10 out of 10 if not for two drawbacks,

• the price tag of ~$110 to $120US
• the pants managed to do well in both cold and hot temperatures but the fabric doesn’t look to be water repellent. Training in rainy weather would quickly become less enjoyable

Final Words

The Adidas AC Milan presentation suit comes in at least two colour variations (see pictures), and Adidas has also released  versions of the suit for other club partners including, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich.  If you are an active player, travelling fan or simply a couch potato wanting to support your team from home in comfort, take a look at the Adidas presentation suit or any of the other available SoccerPro.com training suits

 Today David Beckham was unveiled at the AC Milan San Siro stadium marking the official loan which will bring the Englishman to Serie A for the very first time. The 33-year old, whom has previously played in strong European leagues like Spain and England, now hopes to get minutes at Serie A giants AC Milan. 

Although Beckham’s loan formally begins December 29th the marketing folks at the club and kit sponsor Adidas obviously wanted the release of Becks in his new kit early as a pre-Christmas campaign.

Beckham is expected to travel with the Milan team to Dubai for a post Christmas training camp that includes one friendly game. The LA Galaxy player will be available for around ten Serie A matches and two rounds of the UEFA Cup before returning to the USA in time for the start of the Major League soccer season.

The Englishman’s first appearance on pitch is being billed as the first official match in 2009 when AC Milan play away to AS Roma on January 11th.

What a difference 24 hours makes after briefly discussing on World Soccer Daily the possibility of David Beckham leaving the Galaxy, (for training with AC Milan making his England position more secure) Becks is buying plane tickets for the Northern Italian fashion capital.

Okay maybe not until January but we all get the picture, Mr Billy Big Boots will be modeling underwear to Italians instead of East LA and from my position he should have done this much sooner as the American experiment wasn’t going to reach the heights first anticipated those many months ago.

Those who known both Beckham and Italy expect him to win the crowd while at Milan the list includes current England manager Fabio Capello, and former England midfielder and Man United teammate Paul Ince.  Perhaps Ince could offer some words of wisdom on getting around Milan he did play for Inter.

Brand Beckham Lives

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani was quoted in Italian papers saying, “Football today is not just about tactics and technical abilities. It’s about full stadiums and sponsors. No-one can beat the 65,000 fans we had on Sunday.”

Correct Mr Galliani with Kaka, Ronaldinho and Beckham in uniform I’m sure you’ll keep your current sponsors very happy because superstars like this sell merchandise but lets face facts Rossoneri readers even though he is still a top player your new signing isn’t coming to win games.  Beckham is at the end of a career so being in Milan will be a mutual benefit selling Brand Beckham back to Europe, a brand that was on the ropes in America, and in the process selling brand Rossonero to a wider English-speaking audience.

One last note, Galliani claims It’s not just a shop window deal as he will be available to Carlo Ancelotti for Serie A and the UEFA Cup but we all know the truth.

Clarence Seedorf, Kaka and Alessandro Nesta are all smiles for the camera as they pose in their new Rossoneri kit.

The first choice shirt has 5 red bands and 4 black ones in the front, wider compared to last season, which also continue on the thighs; the sleeves are black with 3 red stripes. On the back there is the writing ROSSONERI, in black, on a red background.  Milan will also be sporting an all white away jersey with a white on white cross situated over the left hand front of the jersey.  AC Milan continue in their partnership with Germany’s Adidas.
