We are into the single digits in terms of number of weeks left in the Serie A season. 9 weeks left till the end of the season and I am suffering from some serious writers’ block. That’s ok cause, there is still a Team Of The Week. The Serie A Team Of The Week for Week 29 played matches and/or made headlines during the calendar week of March 16 – 22.

Juventus had the most impressive scoreline of the week with their 4-1 thrashing of AS Roma in Rome. The beatdown at the Stadio Olimpico was led by Vincenzo Iaquinta’s double. Olaf Mellberg & Pavel Nedved added goals to finish off the Romans.
La Vecchia Signora have won 5 straight and are unbeaten in their last 7 matches and seem to have recovered from the Calciopoli scandal. Say what you want about Claudio Rainieri but he’s done well this season with the squad despite what will be a trophy less season.
